I zoom out and everything looks completely wrong
Why this happens
You've been inside the piece for too long. Up close, you fix details. Zoom out โ and something about the whole feels off. This is normal. It doesn't mean the piece is ruined.
FIX IT NOW
- Before touching anything: flip the canvas. Actions โ Canvas โ Flip Canvas Horizontally. Look at it for 30 seconds. The specific problem almost always surfaces when mirrored โ your brain processes it as a new image and stops compensating for what it expects to see
- The feeling of "everything is wrong" is almost always one or two things creating a general sense of wrongness. Flipping usually reveals which ones. Name them specifically before touching anything
- Fix the biggest one first. Only that one. Zoom out again. Repeat
